Who are you and what should I know about you? TOP

Hi I'm Dot! Well actually that's my nick name but I go by that name a lot, so let's just use that. I also go by Dana.
I am just a fun and happy chick who loves to sew. I have been sewing since I can remember. I hand-made all of my clothes growing up, and they were damn cute! I even made my own prom and wedding dresses, and I have been to a few proms and been married a few. Now, I just like to make cute little ruffle aprons.
I decided on aprons for one main reason, it's the ruffles. I love them. I also love retro diners and pinup girls, so I thought it would all flow into a pretty cool product.
I am a Colorado native, born here the same year that Barbie was born. I kind of relate to that somehow. My Barbie had a huge wardrobe of ruffle aprons.
OMG that just gave me an idea- big girl barbie aprons, omg!
Ok, so that is enough about me, I would love to hear about you. Please please please go sign my guestbook, or follow my fan page, or my twitter, or any of that stuff. It is also a good way to find out about specials, new stuff, give-aways, stuff like that.
K? ok see you later...
PS...yes, I can pole dance, that is me baby! Well, a couple years ago, before I got my arms all tatooed up!
Dot
Where do get that cute fabric for your aprons and such? TOP
Now that would be telling......
Why, you got some? I'll buy it.
Naw, actually, I have been buying up all the really cute Kawaii vintage fabric I can find on Etsy and Ebay lately. I also search the thrift stores and antique malls for really cool 50s and 60s fabric to use on aprons and pinafores. I just recently opened up some fabric accounts with the big names so I can start carrying fabric in my new Etsy fabric and supplies shop. I am really excited to offer the best ever CUTE fabric. Nothing boring, just the cute stuff. You know, like candy, cupcakes, polka dots, and glitter. Stuff like WE like, you and me.
Do you accept custom orders? TOP
I do accept custom orders if the item requested is a retro style apron that follows the same type of theme I have in my shop.
That theme would be retro, fun, colorful, sexy, frisky, etc. I don't take orders for boring humdrum flat designs that are "conservative" in nature, and would bore me to tears to sit and make. Orders like that make me drink a lot of vodka and then I could hurt myself at the sewing machine. (I know this for a fact).
But if you are fun chick who has a cool idea, I'm into it for sure. I charge a little more for custom, but that's the high price of being a princess - meaning you, the princess, not me.
This link will take you to the custom order details:
What form of payment do you accept? TOP I accept Paypal. If you don’t have a paypal account you can still pay through Paypal using your credit or debt card.
If you see something in my shop that you like but are unable to pay right away, just contact me before you order and I will gladly reserve it for you. Reservations will remain for 3 days, after which the item will be re-listed if not purchased. How do you ship? TOP
If the item your order is in stock, I aim to ship as soon as possible, usually within 12 - 24 hours once payment is received.
I include hot pink gift wrap tissue with every order. If you want the order gift wrapped and sent to a different address, let me know, and select the hot-pink bakery gift box and add it to your order. If you want a message to a recipient, or a loving card, I can do that also at no cost to you.
All items are packed with care and sent by USPS priority within the US, unless specified otherwise in the listing. Priority usually takes 2 to 4 business days to arrive in the United States. International orders are sent by USPS regular mail, and may take 1 to 3 weeks to arrive. I do not send with confirmation, to save myself, and you, postage cost. I will however, ship with delivery confirmation if you request it.
The United States Postal Service is pretty consistent and reliable, but please keep in mind that these are estimated transit times. I cannot be held responsible for shipment delays after I've delivered your package to the post office.
Please feel free to contact me if you intend to purchase a large quantity of listings and are concerned about the shipping expense. What is your refund policy? TOP
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase from my shop or damage/loss occurs in shipping, or you never receive your little apron, please drop me a note within 3 to 7 days of arrival/or expected arrival. Returns, exchanges or refunds will be granted after discussion.
I will accept returns or make exchanges if there is an issue with the item, such as wrong color, size or poor fit. Please be sure to unpack your order promptly and contact me with these concerns within 3 days of arrival.
Since I am a one woman shop and I struggle to keep inventory available- I ask that you do not simply order aprons to try on, then return. I am not set up for this shopping style. Not that you would of course, but just in case, because I have had a few people do this and it threw me all out of whack. What if I see something I like but want just a little change? TOP
No problem, I do that if it isn't too hard. Hard work makes me really stressed out then I have to drink more and everything goes haywire around here.
If you want me to add some lace or a ruffle or some rickrack or a pocket, that would be OK.
Simply add a note to seller at checkout, or convo me through my Etsy shop. There is a link called contact in the sidebar of my shop.
